Rosamund Pike
Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of Caroline (Friend) (Friend), a classical violinist mom as well as Julian Pike, an opera father of a singer. Due to their work, she spent her childhood touring around Europe. Pike was born in Bristol and went to Badminton School. She then began acting at National Youth Theatre. Pike was only 23 when she was cast in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then spotted by an agent and was signed. Although her first film was a high-budget action film, her work was mainly in smaller independent movies like Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). The Libertine won her the Best Supporting Actress Award at The British Independent Film Awards for this film. Pride & Prejudice (2005) was her first film.
