Pollyanna McIntosh

Pollyanna McIntosh was born in Portugal and Colombia She was born in Colombia and Portugal, but she later moved to Scotland and began to perform on the stage at The Edinburgh Festival. At 16, she left for London and soon became involved in indie filmmaking (her first professional gig was as stoner in Irvine Wales's The Acid House (1998)) and theatre in both roles as an actress as well as a director. Moving to Los Angeles in 2004 brought to the stage more shows as well as a production of "The Woolgatherer" where she was director Anne Dudek (a regular on Mad Men (2007)/Big Love (2006)) as well as David Dayan Fisher (a regular on 24 (2001)/NCIS (2003)) to excellent reviews. Her first US film role was "Stacy", the manipulative woman who was a born again Christian who appeared in Headspace (2005). GQ stated that Pollyanna McIntosh, an outstanding actor, is "extremely talented". Como Quien No Quiere La Cosa (2013) (As if you Don't Like it! ), is a hilarious South American farce in which she is Brit comedian Trevor Lock's unhappy wife. She speaks Spanish throughout the film, that was shot in Peru. John Landis directed Burke and Hare (2010). She portrays Isla Fisher's best friend, along with Andy Serkis and Jessica Hynes, Tom Wilkinson, Tim Curry and Tom Wilkinson. Lucky McKee's The Woman (2011) was an immense success. The film received rave reviews and even topped the New York Times readers' favorite movies poll. She was awarded three Best Actress nominations, including Total Film's Frightfest Award as well as Fright Meter's.
