Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23 1975) is an American actress. Her roles as a star include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and Gone Baby Gone (2008). The actress was also famous for Gone Baby Gone (2008), Made of Honor (2008) and Trucker (2008). Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015) and Patriots Day (2016). The role she played was Julia Meade, the main character in the Mission: Impossible action spy series Mission: Impossible (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018), has been recognized. Monaghan also starred in True Detective's debut season (2014) as Maggie Hart. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, Best Supporting Actress. In the drama series The Path (2016), she played the character of Sarah Lane. Monaghan appeared as Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah The show was cancelled after a single season. Monaghan was born in the tiny town (then there was a population of around 750) of Winthrop, Iowa, the daughter of Sharon Hammel, and Robert Monaghan who worked as a factory worker. Monaghan has two brothers older than her, Bob and John. Monaghan has mostly Irish and German origins, and was raised Catholic.She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1994. She relocated to Chicago after graduation to study journalism at Columbia College Chicago. Then she started modeling. Models have also appeared in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore in addition to the United States. In 1999, she had one more semester to finish her journalism degree. After that, she relocated to New York to pursue an acting career. Prior to becoming an actor, she was model and featured in a variety of catalogs and magazines.
