Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 on the 12th of May, 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently during her childhood, residing in Washington, D.C. and Arizona as well as in Japan. From a young age she was encouraged by her grandfather and grandmother to study drawing, painting and architecture. While she was a lover of the visual arts throughout her life, she also developed a passion for acting. In college she was introduced to modern theater. She received a BA degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn began her college career as an actor, and was inspired by her acting professor. She took on a variety of assistant roles within the industry of theater in D.C. to try to make her stand out. She managed to land some important parts in local theatre productions. However, she still had to work odd jobs to make ends meet. In order to pay her bills, she took on the roles of short industrial instructional films. In the following years, she was able to find roles in more television productions, frequently playing roles that she thought were "very humorous, sarcastic, and well-informed women" like her idol Bea Arthur. Many of these roles ended up being ended after two or three seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, a lawyer and the love-interest of the aforementioned Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
