Mila Kunis Bio

 Mila Kuniz was born Milena Kuris on the 14th of August, 1983 in Chernivtsi. Kunis, then seven years old, emigrated to America along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. Then, she settled in Los Angeles. The Kunis family only had $250 in their account when they arrived in their new country. Kunis' parents gave up their jobs to move and set out to provide their children a better future. Mark who was a former mechanical engineer, landed a job as Uber's driver. Elvira had previously taught Physics in Ukraine and eventually owned the pharmacy. Kunis stated that he didn't completely understand the American culture when he first arrived in America. "I didn't understand the people. I couldn't comprehend their language. My essay to get in college began with this sentence: "Imagine being blinded and deaf by the age of 7." It was a very difficult experience to move to the States. But I got over it pretty fast." Milena Markovna Kunis, daughter of Mark Kunis and Elvira Chernivtsi in Ukraine was born August 14 in 1983. She is the elder sister of her brother. Her mother works as a teacher of physics, but runs a pharmacy as well. Her father is an engineer in mechanical engineering by profession, who doubles up by working as taxi driver. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Los Angeles. Rosewood Elementary School was her first option. When she was nine, she started acting lessons. She auditioned for a few commercials and then made her debut on television in her first role on 'Days of Our Lives', in 1994.She starred in minor roles as a child actor in 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves' 'Santa with Muscles and the Angelina Jolie film "Gia". In 1998, she got her first major role, in the role of Jackie Burkhart, in the popular sitcom "That 70s show". After receiving praise from the critics, she was cast in the role of Meg Griffin, an animated sitcom.
