Rochon was born in her home in the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance, the daughter of Zelma Nurse Practitioner and Samuel Staples, a business owner and graphic artist. Cerritos was her high school. Her graduation was in 1982. In 1986 she earned her degree in 1986 from California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), where she obtained a bachelor's in broadcast journalism. Her degree also included minors in theatre and sociology. Rochon, who returned to CSUDH in the year 2016 as the keynote speaker for CSUDH's College of Arts and Humanities' commencement ceremonies.

Heather Storm is an award-winning TV host, producer, and writer for travel. A car enthusiast, Heather has worked as an actor, TV host and travel writer for several networks. Heather is the producer and host of the online travel program, Drive Yourself Local, where she explores America in her 1965 Ford Mustang sharing local slices of small town life. Heather has appeared in several TV and film series such as Nightingale as well as Epic Movie.

Ullerup was cast in the role of Julia Brynn, a character in the remake show Battlestar Galactica that aired 2006 on Sci Fi Channel. Ullerup was Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the TV show Sanctuary up until her role was cut from the script. A lot of fans demanded her return, even though the show had been ended. Ullerup was a part of the cast as Bree O'Brien on Chesapeake Shores in 2016. Ullerup was played by Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas the estranged wife, in Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). Ullerup's recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series has been Dale Travers since 2016.
